Every week, our Make Macomb Your Home Blog will be posting our Top 5 events for the week centered around great activities here in Macomb County. Today, we are posting about Mother’s Day ideas for this Sunday, May 8. We hope you can personally enjoy some of our selections as well as share them with your friends and family.

Mom will love shopping this open air show dedicated to all things Made in Michigan. Countless products are grown, manufactured or distributed by Michigan-based businesses and they will showcase many at this family-friendly event.
4 – Visit Lake St. Clair Metropark for Mother’s Day Birds and Brunch on Saturday, May 7 (Moms are free!). Take Mom on a spring hike to listen and look for birds on the trail, and afterward return to the Nature Center for a continental breakfast.

On Saturday, May 7, head to the Octagon House in Washington Township for Mother’s Day Tea. Relax in the ambiance of this historical home with linen dressed tables and carefully prepared tea served in exquisite china cups. The menu includes tea served promptly at noon, scones with cream and jam, quiche, finger sandwiches and desserts.
