Happy Friday! Here are the top 5 things to check out in Macomb County this weekend!
1 – Take a trip to C.J. Barrymore’s and ride The Loop Roller Coaster, which officially opened this week! Topping out at 36 feet in height, the Loop features two drops and a 360-degree loop.The cost of one ride is $7.50. Riders must be 56 inches tall or 4 feet tall with an adult accompanying them. It will operate in the evening, weather permitting. C.J. Barrymore’s roster of attractions now includes rock climbing, mini-golf, bumper boats, Eurobungy, laser tag and more, plus there is also a full-service restaurant. http://cjbarrymores.com/
2 – Some of Macomb County’s finest Farmer’s Markets open for the season on Saturday, May 14th! Downtown Romeo, Shelby Township and Mount Clemens all kick-off the season with locally grown produce, children’s crafts and other locally produced items.
3 – Take an evening ride in the Voyageur Canoe at Lake St. Clair Metropark on Friday, May 13th. For only $5 per person, slip through the cattails in their giant canoe and explore the North Marsh and the awakening evening wildlife. Don’t forget – everyone gets to paddle, too! 5 – On Saturday, May 14th head to the Macomb Center to see a wonderful performance of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. This fast-paced stage adaptation of Alice in Wonderland features updated dialogue and new arrangements of such classic Disney songs as “I’m Late,” “The Unbirthday Song” and “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.” www.MacombCenter.com
