1 – The Mount Clemens Food Truck Rally
The Mount Clemens Food Truck Rally – Beats and Street Eats 2016 is being held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13 along Macomb Place between southbound Gratiot and Pine Street. Featured food trucks include El Charro, Andiamo, All American Ice Cream, Norma G’s Fine Caribbean Cuisine and others. The Orleans Sports Café at 100 Macomb Place will allow people to use their patio to eat the food purchased from the trucks. The The Music Messengers band will be playing during the event as well. In addition, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the Barrel Bike Bar will be available to bring people to and from the event to the Macomb County Circuit Court building.
2 – Open Mic Night at Westview Orchards Winery (WOW)
Poets, musicians, performers and the public are invited on Thursday, July 14 to join WOW for an open mic night as part of the Metro-Writers Guild Creative Reading Series in the winery loft. Pre-signups encouraged and all performance and reading styles are welcome! Sign up by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Drink and appetizer specials during Happy Hour (5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) Sip WOW’s fabulous wines as you listen to great performances by local talent. Westview Orchards Winery is located at 30 Mile and Old Van Dyke.
3 – St. Clair Shore’s AquaFest on the Nautical Mile
The St. Clair Shore’s AquaFest on the Nautical Mile will be held Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17! Events include a Beer & Wine Pub Crawl on Friday evening, with stops at bars and restaurants along the Nautical Mile, as well as free trolley rides along the mile Friday through Sunday. There will also be a craft show, a family fishing derby, fine arts in the park, an ultimate air dog show and a classic offshore boat display.
4 – New Haven RocketFest
On Saturday, July 16 the Village of New Haven is hosting their annual RocketFest – all day fun for the whole family! Activities include a 5k-run, pancake breakfast, 3-on-3 basketball, craft and vendor shows, a bike parade, pie eating contest, live music and fireworks. There are a variety of activities for all ages, so head out to New Haven this weekend and experience the excitement!
5 – Shelby Township Garden Walk
Mark your calendars for the Shelby Gardner’s Annual Garden Walk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 16. Tickets will be available at the Shelby Township Public Library and Recreation Office until space runs out. Five residential gardens in addition to Heritage Gardens will be showcased on this wonderful tour. This event is open to the public.
