Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise/Pre-Cruise Car Shows
The Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise is from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7. The route is Gratiot Avenue from 14 Mile Road to just north of 16 Mile Road to Wellington Crescent and back through Clinton Township. But you don’t have to wait for the big day to enjoy the fun! All week long Pre-Cruise Car Shows have been going on at various locations around the county!

Park It Family Fun Nights in Clinton Township and Roseville
There are two great Park It Family Fun Nights in Macomb County this week! The fun starts at 6 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Clinton Township Civic Center Park, 40700 Romeo Plank Road in Clinton Township. Music by the Tringali Brothers will start at 6:30 p.m. and the movie Zootopia will start at 8:20 p.m. There will also be a Chicken Shack food truck on site for Dinner in the Park. If you can’t make tonight’s event, another will be held tomorrow, Aug. 4 at Kennedy Park, 18185 Sycamore Street in Roseville. The event starts at 6 p.m., with Tringali Brothers music at 6:30 p.m. The movie Star Wars will be shown at 8:20 p.m. The Chicken Shack food truck will be on site.


45th Annual Stony Creek Distance Run
The 45th Annual Stony Creek Distance Run will be tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 4. The event kicks off with a one-mile Kids Fun Run at 6:30 p.m. At 6:45 p.m., there is a 10K Run and at 7 p.mDistance Run., a 5K Run/Walk. The course goes through the rolling hills and trails of Stony Creek Metropark, 4300 Main Park Drive, Shelby Township. The daily vehicle park fee is $10. All proceeds benefit the Special Olympics Michigan. This is a family fun evening with a DJ, photographer and medals to the first 250 finishers. Register at, email or call (586) 850-5655.

Harrison Township Parade of Lights
Come out to Markley Marine (31300 N. River Road, Harrison Township) and enjoy a beautiful parade of lights starting at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6. The parade will start at 9:45 p.m. All donations will benefit the Macomb County Marine Safety Division. There will be an award ceremony after the parade at Crews Inn.


Harness and Hitch
Come out at noon on Aug. 7 to Wolcott Mill’s Farm Center (65775 Wolcott Road, Ray Township) and join the teamsters in harnessing and hitching draft horses. Attendees will then enjoy a wagon ride through the farm and learn about the horses. Cost is $5 a person. Preregister by calling (586) 752-5932.
