1 – Utica’s Annual Gasoline Alley
Head to Downtown Utica for their 2nd Annual Gasoline Alley event! There will be a car show, swap meet and gas show from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13.
2 – Rose Cellar Event ~ Presented By Rose Cellar Florist
The Rose Cellar Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 in the village of New Haven. There will be fun for the entire family! The event will feature over 100 vendors including food, arts and crafts, wood working, metal, jewelry, soaps, soy candles, doll clothes, fairy gardens, hats and purses, clothing, antiques, essential oils, dips, wine and beverage slush mix, dipping oils and so much more. The event schedule is as follows:

3 – Star Party at Wolcott Mill Metroparks
Experience the beauty of the stars at the 2016 Star Party at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12 at Camp Rotary! This year the Perseid Meteor Shower is going to be the most active meteor shower of the year. Usually Jupiter’s gravity pulls the debris field away from earth. This year, earth will be in the middle of the debris field, not on the outer edge. You may be able to see approximately 150 meteors hit the earth’s atmosphere every hour. Perseids are from the comet Swift-Tuttle. There will be crafts, snacks, telescopes and speakers from the Warren Astronomical Association. Bring your blankets and chairs enjoy the evening, gazing at the night sky. The cost is $10 per car.
4 – Shelby Township Art Fair
The Annual Shelby Township Art Fair will be held this Saturday, Aug. 13 and Sunday, Aug. 14 at the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds, 52700 Van Dyke Avenue. Bring the family for a day filled with activities and entertainment, and bring home a special piece of art, hand-made item, product or souvenir from your visit. Parking and entry is free and so is the shuttle bus that travels between the grounds and the Shelby Community Center. There will be music and activities throughout the day.
5 – Warren SummerFest
This year’s 13th annual Warren SummerFest will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 13 at Shaw Park. Summerfest is designed to bring hope to struggling families in south Warren and make a difference in their lives. During the outreach, volunteers meet practical and tangible needs, and inspire people with a positive, motivational message. There will be plenty of events for all ages including sports physicals, bounce houses, a photo booth, a petting zoo, haircuts and hot dogs. Backpacks with school supplies and grocery vouchers will also be distributed. Mark your calendars and don’t miss out!
