1 – St. Anne’s Sausage Festival
The annual St. Anne Sausage Festival begins on Friday, Sept. 23 and runs through Sunday, Sept. 25. The festival consists of a carnival midway, games, food vendors, live bands, a silent auction and many more fun activities for the whole family. This is the school’s largest annual parish event raising funds to support programs for their students and support their church, school and staff. St. Anne’s is located in Warren on Mound Road south of 14 Mile Road.

2 – Visit a Macomb County cider mill
Fall has finally arrived, and now is the perfect time to visit one of our many great apple orchards and cider mills! These fine establishments offer activities for the whole family, including picking your own apples and pumpkins, purchasing cider and donuts, enjoying a hay ride or wandering your way through a corn maze. 3 – 2016 North Gratiot Cruise
On Saturday, Sept. 24 the final Gratiot cruise of the season will roll through Chesterfield Township. The North Gratiot Cruise takes place along Gratiot Avenue between M-59 (Hall Road) and 23 Mile Road. A car show starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Cruise Headquarters in the former Kmart parking lot south of 23 Mile Road. Cruise hours are noon to 6 p.m. A number of bars along Gratiot Avenue will have their own parties with food and drink specials and live entertainment including the Fillin’ Station and Bigg’s Bar & Grill! 4 – Get Out and Play Day at Lake St. Clair Metropark
Saturday, Sept. 24 is “Get Out and Play Day” at Lake St. Clair Metropark. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes nature activities and lawn games, guided hay wagon rides, free healthy snacks, nutrition information and so much more!

5 – Tails to Trail 5k Run and Walk
Tails and Trails will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Stony Creek Metropark in Shelby Township. This is the 4th annual run/walk event for all ages and, of course, dogs! Registrants will receive a t-shirt and the top runners will win a custom race medal. There will also be a bake sale, raffle baskets, 50/50, vendors, adoptable dogs and so much more!! All proceeds will go to A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue to help pay vet bills.
