Holiday events light up Macomb County this week

Deck the halls with boughs of holly! ‘Tis the season to be jolly! Many of our Macomb County communities are decking their halls this holiday season in preparation for their unique Christmas tree lighting ceremonies. The tradition of decorating Christmas trees dates back to 18th-century Germany, where candles were used to light trees. Today people create extravagant holiday displays using modern LED lights to decorate not only trees, but buildings and streetscapes. Here is a full list of all of the Macomb County communities celebrating the holiday season with tree lighting ceremonies this week.
