For the sixth time, Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel delivered his annual State of the County speech to a festive capacity crowd of roughly 1,200 business and community leaders, county employees and regional partners. The speech highlighted the good news and achievements involving Macomb County government. The positive message delivered during the address set the tone for what was an upbeat and festive Taste of Macomb afterglow.
Organized by the Macomb County Executive’s Office, the Taste of Macomb is a great social event for those to enjoy after attending the annual State of the County. The afterglow allows State of the County attendees to network and enjoy a festive night at the Lorenzo Cultural Center at Macomb Community College.
This year, 34 local Macomb County businesses offered their best eats to guests as part of this complimentary strolling dinner. There was something for everyone! The spread featured appetizers, main courses, desserts and beverages and was representative of all tastes and locations within the county.
