Fall favorites: Orchards and cider mills in Macomb County

Several weeks ago, Starbucks announced the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte and people began flocking to their closest location to indulge their senses with the sweet and flavorful beverage. As a drink option only available during the cooler months, this recent launch will mark the beginning of the fall season for many people across the country — but for me, the beginning of fall starts with my first trip to the apple orchard and cider mill. Every year, I wrap up in my favorite sweater, pull on my boots and head out with my family to take in the crisp air at one of our county’s beloved fall wonderlands. Sometimes we pick up a few sugary donuts, other times we pick our own apples and order glasses of cider. Each trip is different, but they’re all special and full of memories.
